One way that I try and help my backs that are not willing to run north and south but have great speed is to adjust my formations that they run out of.  I like to add in different formations.  This allows me to get more blocking in front of my backs.  If you find more ways to get your blocks in front of your backs, your backs will start to get a better feel for your offense and will follow his blocks.  Do not be afraid to move people around.  If you take a good look at your team you will find that you may have a player in the wrong position.  If you find this, you will need to move players around.  Do not make the moves, if you are not sure.  As you make these adjustments you may need to add more formations to your playbook
